English Language Arts (ELA)
Communication Arts is a combination of Reading and Language Arts classes. We will mesh the two classes together. We will be reading from literature sets or non fiction pieces and then using that information as a launching point for our writing. We will work on grammar and spelling through our writing, as well as specific activities to improve those skills. We will be using the Daily 5 structure and CAFE strategies. We will use Words Their Way for our spelling and word work rotation.
